Rethinking Personal Care

The SSD Connect Alliance is working with Aspex Consulting to review and seek to improve personal care for older Australians. The project also explores how current personal care offerings could be extended as we move from CHSP to Support at Home.

By rethinking personal care, we hope to find a service model that better supports the personal care workforce and older people in their homes.

So far, we’ve completed a thorough review of existing personal care delivery models and held focus groups with a range of personal care providers.

The information we’ve received from the personal care workers, managers, team leaders and coordinators has been invaluable. Thank you to everyone who shared their expertise and experiences.

We’re now using our findings to develop an enhanced service delivery model. We will pilot key findings with personal care providers later in the year.
