Q – Do the new aged care worker requirements cover qualifications and screening checks, such as banning orders?

A: Yes, the new aged care worker requirements include qualifications, screening checks, and the expectation that providers will verify any banning orders as part of their pre-employment process.

These new requirements will come into effect in 2026.

To help you prepare, we’ll be hosting a webinar later this year that covers the details of these changes. Stay updated by subscribing to our Keeping You Connected newsletter or following SSD Connect on LinkedIn.
